24/4/08 - Team Arrived in Ustica after a not so easy xfer from Rome to Palermo.

Huge Security problems caused by special packages for antennas & Wires - during darkness the first antenna installed is the long multiband vertical with remote tuners (Ranger beats Sgc..) also the 1/4 Vertical for 80m is ready to go (lots of strange insects prepared us a warm welcome)

25/4/08 - Finally Monoband 1/4 wave  Verticals (20m & 40m) are installed just few meters from the sea (Check out gallery for details).

 The UMTS Card, the hires digital camera, cw keyer and other secondary stuffs arrived broken . Media support will be based on smartphones..grrrr.

IZ0FKE is trying to solve connection problems using GPRS network (too slow for myQSX applications)

26/4/08 - Wifi network is working: Proxy & DNS Cache are used trying to optimize GPRS Access.

Antennas are giving great perfomances - No signals on 6/10/12/15m (Bands are completely closed) The team is still monitoring them trying to catch any opening - 160m Antenna is installed.

Sicilian Food is unique -))  We love Cannoli, Arancini and Corvo Wine...

29/4/08 Damn! Power problems on the Island.. all radios are off! Team is searching for generator ... during forced stop time IE9N Folks will go fishing -)
